On Human Bondage

READ

This is a brilliant book. Largely autobiographical, it showcases the life of a young man in the early 20th century, trying to find what he likes at life.

The best part of this book is not just the trip, is the lessons he learns (the hard way) and how he eventually gets destroyed but what he thinks is love (we would call it a toxic relationship nowadays).

Don't worry, I did not offer any spoilers :)

READ IF: You love great literary works and enjoy learning from books the way the main character does.

PASS IF: You don't like long(ish) books.
