Should you read it or pass?

There are more good books than there is time to read them all. Read or Pass exists to make choosing your next book a little easier.

Every review is honest, spoiler-free, and 100 words or fewer. No long plot summaries. No essays disguised as reviews. Just a quick opinion on what worked, what didn't, and whether I think the book is worth your time.

Every book gets a simple verdict:

MUST READ  A rare favorite — only a handful get this.

READ  I recommend it.

MAYBE  It depends on your taste.

PASS  I'd skip it.

I also give every book a score out of 10, because a 7/10 book might still be exactly what you're looking for.

I'll tell you what I liked, what I didn't, and who I think will enjoy the book — because sometimes you don't need a 2,000-word review. You just need to know: should I read this?

Who's Behind This

Economist by trade, bookophile by nature. I read whatever drops in my hands, but I naturally gravitate toward non-fiction — economics, finance, investing. That said, I read voraciously and love a good fiction book too.
