READ

Did you ever wonder what it was like after WWII in Britain? Did you ever think of how the life of an agent for MI5 or MI6 was like in 1950s?

No need to wonder any more, just read this brilliant book. It's easily Le Carre's best book (ok I haven't read Tinker Taylor to be honest), and one that has an amazing antihero as the main protagonist.

Fast-paced when needed, slow-paced when required, an amazing plot and excellent setup.

READ IF: You want to experience how proper spy novels should be

PASS IF: You want lots of explosions, fistfights, tanks, etc.
