The book itself is interesting as it follows three generations of the Davis family through their investment company on Wall Street. The patriach made money in insurnace and banking stocks, following the familiar Lynch motto of "investing in what you know". The others found it easier of course, but it's a task to maintain a good family business over more than 50 years. 

Yet, the book offers not much details as to the investment thinking of these guys as it just bypasses their process and gets (mostly) to the results.
